Sea World Part 9

daddy and maverick were so brave going into the shark exhibit!

joaquin couldn't wait…he was too excited!

i had to carry maverick into the exhibit!

he wouldn't even look at the tank for the first 10 minutes!!

the coral reef was so beautiful, the twins said it looked like the

reef from finding nemo!

the tanks were huge!

it was sooooo cool! 

we stayed here the longest, just watching the sharks in the air conditioning!!

Sea World Part 7

we rode another ride which was super tame called the Rio Loco! If you ever rode the Thunder River in AstroWorld then that was what that ride was like except the line was shorter and you totally get soaked by a waterfall! that ride was super fun!

then i talked the twins into riding this ride! Journey To Atlantis! It was kind of like the Tidal Wave at AstroWorld! Joaquin almost blew chunks and Maverick told me he was super mad at me for thinking this was a good idea!! Steve stayed on the ground to take a video and Robbie rode us!

Robbie is the crazy dude in the lime green shirt with his hands up the entire time!! the three of us are beside him holding on dear life!

it was sooooooooo funnnnnnn! joaquin stayed mad at me for like an hour after that!!

Sea World Part 6

maverick really loves flamingos! he saw them at the houston zoo last year and always gets excited when he sees them! joaquin was really feeling the heat of the day by now and i am not sure he quite recovered from his near death experience yet either!

Sea World Part 5

the twins were super excited about the Shamu Show!!

when Shamu came out it was awesome!

when Shamu landed on the platform it was breathtaking!

maverick leaned over and asked,

"mom, is that a machine like the shark in jaws?"

then i leaned over with a tear in my eye and said,

"no baby, that is a real life whale."

it really was an awesome thing to see!

joaquin really loved all the jumps and tricks!

he was a little mad about getting splashed though!

hey we were in the splash zone, dude!!

the twins were so tired and hungry and it was only like 12:30! they loved the little shamu plate!!

okay, so the twins wanted to get on a real roller coaster because the Shamu Express was fun but it was a little babyish! we walked up to the steel eel and wouldn't ya know it, they were tall enough! so steve and i decided this was going to be awesome.
now lets recap…steve hasn't been on a roller coaster since the 80's and i haven't been on one since the late 90's! once we were actually sitting on the ride i think all 4 of us started to rethink this idea but it was definitely too late.
in the second photo you can see the first drop… it was messed up!!! as we were clicking up to the top maverick was like, "UMMMMMM, NO, NO, NO, I WANT TO GET OFF!!! RIGHT NOW!!!! I LOVE YOU MOM!!!!!!" joaquin was super quiet…until we dropped!! then he was like, "I CAN'T BREATHE! STOP IT!!!! STOP IT!!!

IT WAS AWESOME!!!! i could hear steve laughing and i was screaming so loud and holding on to maverick. i was scared i thought he was going to fall out he is sooo small!!
the last pic is what we looked like right after we got off. the twins were shaking…okay so was i!!

Sea World Part 2

we totally blew their minds later when they saw the REAL Shamu!!

when the kids were meeting all the characters joaquin turned to me and said,

"mom, i thought they were way smaller, the people on sesame street

must be giants cuz they make these guys look so tiny!" 

All i could say was, "i know, right!!"

Sea World Part 1

family vacation… CHECK!!!! well we were missing bella because she stayed home with her grandma! i was thinking it was going to be too hot and boy was i right!! some people had the poor little babies there and they looked miserable! either way we went with a friend of steve's (robbie) who happens to live in san antonio and let us crash at his place while we were there! (very cool of him)

i am doing this in sections to make it a little easier to get through all the photos we took. if you are reading this blog you know how steve and i are with a camera!! anyway it was an awesome trip and i hope you enjoy the pix!!!
