Super Kids Day 2013 Part 1

The twins had been anticipating Super Kids Day for weeks now!

They got their t-shirts out the night before and were up waiting for me

in the living room the yesterday morning! 

I volunteered to chaperone so I was in charge of the twins and their partners for the day.

Bella's 3rd Birthday

 Here is Doc McStuffins. The inspiration for Bella's 3rd Birthday Party.

Bella's loves to watch this show on Disney Junior!

 little stepthescopes that match the one Doc wears in the show!

they came out pretty cute!

 I decided to make Bella a Big Girl Pull-ups cake.

I also surrounded it with Kandoo wipes and other big kids items to get

her on the road to Potty Training.

 here is the the display we put together for party favor bags and gift area!

 we set up a little clinic area for the kids to play with but it didn't get played with until after everyone left. some of the kids were too young to actually play but bella liked it very much!

i dressed up some pink and purple lollipops and made some candied popcorn in matching colors too!

my cousin tina makes candied popcorn that is awesome. she gave me the idea to try it!

Bella's Cake

So it's time for Bella's Birthday again and I wanted to make something really special for her.

I saw what they call a Petal Cake online and decided I would try it!

 here are the shades i decided to us since her theme is Doc Mcstuffins

 here is the icing in the piping bags

 here is my cake with a crumb coat already on it.

 I started piping dots from the bottom.

then i flattened each dot and slid the knife to the right. 

 I kept doing that all the way around the cake!

 when i got to the top of the cake i just did the same thing

this time working inward toward the center to give it a flower effect.

i think it came out pretty nice considering i had never done that before!

it was however very time consuming but i didn't mind doing for my little Anabella Star!!

Easter 2013

 The easter bunny brought Maverick blue flippers and a snorkel for the pool!

 Joaquin got the same thing as Maverick in green! Joaquin says he is ready for summer!

 The Easter bunny brought Bella a tea set, an apron and a hat! she loved it!
