bella and the transformers

bella is so close to walking. she is really taking her time. the twins got these transformer outfits for christmas which they love. bella likes it when they chase her wearing the outfits. the twins think they are tiring her out but really she is kicking their butts!! ha ha they even hug each other in their sleep. ha ha well now i am all caught up so hopefully i can keep up with it. hope you like all the updates.

bella's first swing

it has been chilly around here but i thought the kids including bella needing to get out of the house so we went to our neighborhood park. she got on her first swing and loved it. she was on it for about 30 minutes and cried when i took her off to go home.
she looks hilarious all bundled up!

second semester

it was time for back to school and the twins were actually ready to go. they missed their teachers and their friends.

new year's eve

i bought some fireworks for the kids to enjoy and we had a great time. well bella and dad had to go inside because she started crying. then our neighbor started to light some really pretty ones that lit up the sky and we all started watching those. the twins were applauding and yelling stuff like, "BRAVO!!!!" "WELL DONE!!!" ENCORE!!!" they had everyone cracking up.
all in all we had a great new year's eve in our new home.

steve's set

steve finally has his set of canvas paintings of the kids.

christmas day

the twins once again made out like bandits. grandma and grandpa got them new bikes. joaquin was busy busting in to the other loot he got as you can see. he loved his color changing hot wheels. bella was a big girl and opened up a few gifts of her own too. once again everyone was spoiled and happy. and just like that christmas was over once again. i have always loved christmas but its like i get to go through all the magic of christmas again with the kids. it really is awesome. dont get me wrong its work, but it is so worth it!

christmas morning 2011

even though the boys didnt go to bed until well after midnight, they were up at around 7am making sure santa came. they came running in our bedroom telling us they had already looked under the tree and there were new gifts that werent there before.
santa made good and maverick got a wicked witch doll. joaquin got a huge nemo plush just like he asked for.
steve and i got them an aquarium. they were super excited. the next pic is of our edible arrangement which the boys tackled right after that pic was taken. it was a huge hit!
then bella woke up and santa brought her a calliou doll. its a pbs show that she loves watching. she actually really loved her doll as you can see.
all in all everyone was happy once again. as we were cleaning up they twins were already making out their list for next christmas...really??????

christmas eve

christmas eve started out with another tradition steve and i have. he and i exchange one gift before he goes to work. this twins were kind of mad but that is just something we have always done since even before we were married. he got his favorite picture of bella on canvas to go with the ones of the twins. so now he has the complete set. you cant see my gift but you are seeing the results...i got a new camera!!! it is was cooler than my old one.

working our way up the the next pic is of the twins christmas eve morning. can you say bedhead??? here is bella trying to stay up till midnight, she didn't last steve and bells went home early!! i think it was all in steve's plan! ha ha as you can see in the last pic, joaquin is wide awake waiting to open gifts at midnight. dad on the other hand is ready to call it a night. i will give him some slack, he did go in to work at 5am that morning.

family traditions

it's funny how family traditions just happen. this is ours. tears or smiles i hope we get to do this every year. i thought they came out so cute but then again i am their mom. i loves the santa this year. he was like an old-fashioned country santa. i really dig his socks. my babies are getting so big. i wonder how long the twins are going to let me keep matching their clothes. i hope forever... i am keeping my fingers crossed!!! hee hee

maverick+gracie=bbf

here is maverick and his bff gracie. they exchanged gifts for christmas. she got his a wicked witch christmas ornament which he loved. maverick got her a bunch of little mermaid princess stuff. he talks about her all the time. she is a very sweet little girl. they are so cute together.

an old fashioned christmas

okay so the same organization (Jesse H. Jones Park and Nature Center) that hosted the pioneer day hosted another event called "an old fashioned christmas". the kids got to make ornaments and listen to a group of really cool carolers. everyone with the organization is dressed up. the kids loved it. once it gets dark they have a procession of the three wise men walking to the birth of baby jesus. everyone then follows them on a trail through the woods to a manger where the baby jesus is there with mary and all the animals, it was really sweet and well done. we were amazed at how many kids were there and how quiet it was. it was actually really special.
i love the last two pictures of maverick with his grandma, he loves her soooo much. it is rare that my dad poses for pictures he usually has a crazy face but this time i think this might be one of my all time favorite pics. even my mom knows it rare so she is all smiles.

our christmas tree

here are a few pics of the kids once we lit the tree. bella was mesmerized but wouldn't get too close. the twins wanted to take a serious picture and a silly picture. they were excited because now santa knew where to put the presents and it was easy for him cause it was right next to the fire place. of course that is why we put the tree there... to make it easier for santa, duh!!!

my christmas windows

so i did a little moonlighting painting some store fronts this past holiday season. obviously i am not a professional but i had a lot of fun doing it. i hope to do it again soon. let me know what you guys think!

thanksgiving

i am trying to catch up on my posts so here is thanksgiving day. first one is at my mom's new house. that is her and my aunt getting the rolls before they burn them again like they do every year. ha ha the next one is of steve and his baby girl. he spoils her rotten and she loves it! next we are at my in-laws house and the twins are playing cards with their cousins. they look so big playing a card game together. next that is a rare pic of me and my babies. the boys look tired and stuffed. ha ha and finally a pic of our family. bella is looking at her grandma of course. Joaquin is looking at the tv but we are all in same picture so it counts, ha ha.

maverick and the wizard of oz

maverick wrote this message on his little writer. this was before the learned about spaces between words. ha ha it took me awhile to understand it but once i did it cracked me up!

it reads (phonetically of course):
ding dong the witch is dead, rub your eyes get out your bed. ding dong the witch is dead.

he was so proud of himself once i read it because he was like, "i can totally write you messages now mom!" he is so funny! he wants to know what you think!!
